Those Funny Thoughts
You know when you get those kind of thoughts that make you smile, or perhaps you sort of acknowledged subconsciously but perhaps not in an ‘accepted’ in your head way. I’ve just had one of those looking at Flickr. (As you do.)
In about two weeks (2 weeks, 2 days) I set off to walk the South Downs Way. Now it’s not exactly trekking the Andes or exploring Antarctica but it’s still something that most people don’t do in their lifetimes.
I’m away July 26th though August 2nd (Saturday to Saturday) and then I though yep on a bit of a expedition, a trek, a memorable adventure kind of thing.
And then I realised that I did a memorable trip, trek and adventure thing four years ago more or less overlapping most of this year’s dates. (When I went to the Black Hills Rally in Sturgis, SD from Chicago in 2004…) — that was July 30th through August 8th.
And that was utterly big time immensely awesome. Maybe every four years I’ll do something crazy and off beat.
Or better still do something every year at the end of July.
That was my funny thought anyway 
I’ve also ordered 8 rolls of HP5+, 8 rolls of FP-4 and 2 rolls of Pan-F today so I’m more or less set and waiting to go
