South Downs Way
Between Saturday 26th July 2008 and August 2nd I walked the South Downs Way in southern England, a 100 mile national trail running from Winchester in Hampshire to Eastbourne in East Sussex. This is my write up and photo journal.
Nearing Beauworth on the South Downs Way – Gander Down

- Sunday 27th (NEW: March 13th 2009) : Exton to South Harting
- Monday 28th : South Harting to Gumber Bothy
- Tuesday 29th : Slindon/Gumber Bothy to Washington
- Wednesday 30th : Washington to Pyecombe
- Thursday 31st : Pyecombe to Rodmell
- Friday 1st August : Rodmell to Alfriston
- Saturday 2nd : Alfriston to Eastbourne





Hi Vicky, as one of your travelling companions, I keep wondering when you are going to post your write up of the walk! Really love this photo – and all the others but it is about time others got to share the whole experience! Great to see you a few Saturdays ago.

It’s now going on-line
It was great seeing you too. I’ve just been so busy with work (very important time coming up in November/December for us) but I am now getting a chance to sit down and write these memoirs.
If only the weather wasn’t so good and I wasn’t drawn outside to go for a walk. It’s like a honey pot to me this glorious weather
